The Senior Marketing & SalesManager is a key member of our marketing team, responsible for planning and implementing a range of marketing activity for our national registry and local Adopt & Shop stores, and managing partner marketing programs .  The ideal candidate is a smart marketer with a track record of driving revenue and business results, and is able to maintain focus on larger strategic goals while managing the day to day. This is a great role for someone who thrives on working on multiple projects, can both lead and collaborate, and wants to make an impact. The position reports to the Chief Marketing Officer, supervises a Marketing Coordinator and works closely with the rest of the marketing team, other departments and external partners.   • Help create new revenue streams for the registry
  • Partner with the VP Revenue/Marketing Partnerships to manage implementation of negotiated partner/sponsorship marketing programs, including managing partner relationships and collaborating with the digital marketing team to execute plans
  • Identify and manage additional partnership, events and other opportunities to drive revenue
  •  ​Lead planning and implementation of annual marketing plans
  • Take lead in translating annual marketing goals and messages into quarterly marketing plans that supports our national registry, Adopt & Shop stores and other key initiatives
  • Collaborate with marketing team members, including digital channel owners, to develop the marketing calendar and coordinated campaigns
  • Identify and develop campaign ideas including partnerships, promotional concepts and events that support priority programs and messages
  •  Lead marketing planning to drive awareness and traffic to Adopt & Shop stores
  • Own the customer traffic metric and activity that drives people to our stores
  • Build and manage the marketing calendar to drive awareness, traffic and sales (adoptions, services and retail products), including seasonal campaigns, promotions and events
  • Analyze results, identify key takeaways and action plans based on learnings
  •  Manage planning for priority organizational events
  • Manage event details  for the MFA annual gala, including program activities, planning timetables and budget; oversee/coordinate cross department activity to ensure successful events

Key Competencies
  • Minimum 8 years marketing experience, including partnership/sponsorship sales and marketing, and implementing partner marketing programs on a national and local level
  • Broad understanding of marketing best practices across digital and offline channels, including retail marketing, events and PR
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a self starter. Able to figure out how to get the right things done with little guidance, but also know when to check in
  • Strategic and thoughtful, able to keep the big picture in mind while taking care of the day to day.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning and project management skills. Know that details matter and are able to execute with excellence
  • Collaborative leader and committed team player who can build effective relationships and influence decision making across all levels of the organization. Able to orchestrate team activity and take ownership for areas of direct accountability
  • Strong verbal / written communication skills. Effectively convey your point in a meeting,  write a compelling presentation as well as a clear and concise creative brief, and to crystallize a promotional idea into a tight message

Additional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Experience working in pet products/services or animal welfare a plus
  • Experience working with/in a non-profit or social enterprise or cause marketing a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to attend events outside of traditional 9-5 work hours, as needed
